Widowhood hits like a freight train, even if you know that it is coming. You are in shock, can’t think, there’s a big hole in your chest. Not only have you lost the love of your life. You’ve lost your idea of future, your partner, companionship, financial support, possibly insurance, help with home/house/children … 70% of all married women will be widows in their lifetime.

Just your head around that! It’s a powerful statistic. Think of 10 married women that you know … 7 of those 10 women will be widows. As a society we are left wanting in the care of our widows.
